More Grumbling…

By courtneycash

I love the weather today.  Clouds off in the distance, which look very ominous, blue skies above, a cool breeze – fall is in the air.  According to our weather man, however, it will be short lived.  Went to take the girls to school this morning, then headed to the Y for our body conditioning class.  Had fun grunting and groaning through the workout with Leslie and Jenny.  Took Sarah to Target and picked up yummies for the retreat as well as some Halloween “needs”.  We then finished up at Ralph’s with a few groceries to sustain the family while I’m gone this weekend.  Then, I drove down my street.  This is what I came home to.

So, I can’t pull into my driveway.  Please remember, I have groceries to carry in as well as a 2 year old.  The picture here is a bit deceiving.  It is a good jump or stretch with adult legs across our new trench, or as Sarah called it, “icky mucky moat water.”  I carried Sarah across the street and told her to stay in the yard as I began carting my groceries to the house.  Notice where my lovely silver van is parked on the corner.

Then as I proceed up my walkway with my arms full of groceries I notice this…

GRUMBLE, GRUMBLE, GRUMBLE.  My very nice neighbor’s pots have fallen into my yard, spilling some dirt, along with “someone’s” cat poop.  Let me just vent on the whole cat issue right now.  I do not know how people can claim to own a cat, and yet never take care of it.  Sure, you throw some food out for it once a day, and maybe pet it when it sits in your driveway, but other than that, who is responsible for it pooping all over the neighborhood, particularly in MY yard?  I just don’t get it!  If anyone has a good answer to this issue which continues to boggle my mind and frustrate the heck out of me, please, feel free to let me in on it.  Ok, I could go on about that, but I must start laundry now so I can run away with my friends to Castle Creek Inn tomorrow!
