May Day, May Day

I thought about May Day a couple of times today. One was as a distress signal – I have an emotional 5 year old girl and I’m not quite sure how to tame her.

The other was thinking back to May 1st, 1993, when I was a sophomore in high school, and on tour in Hawaii with my school’s ensemble. May Day in Hawaii is Lei Day. How fun was that – flowers, ocean, Hawaii, aaahhhhhhhhhhh…..

Then my mind went to the obvious thought of how could it possibly already be May??? (Back to the distress signal.)
