Bored Stiff

By courtneycash

LITERALLY!  I am so boring right now, I have nothing to write about on my blog, and I’m stiff from the bra strap up due to some poor sleeping.  Not good!  I actually just took some vicadin hoping for some relaxation.  I’m assuming I’ll be pretty useless for the rest of the day.  The girls actually got the giggles at me this morning, which is the worst because I’m most stiff.  Every movement induced a moan and Abigail started laughing which made me start laughing, which was not good.  I couldn’t even develop a sneeze.  About three times I would begin to sneeze, and breathing in deeply hurt so much it halted the need.  Of course this is my crazy day, and a crazy day for Brandon too, who is presenting the lesson tonight to his seminar/class.  He was able to rub some lovely Icy Hot onto my neck/back area before I went to my morning Bible study, but it’s already worn off.

Yesterday I had my first doctor’s appointment for number 4.  Love love love the doctor – a great Christian man, who I can only see until December 1st, but that’s okay.  It’s better than nothing.  I have an ultrasound scheduled for the 26th, and another appointment with the doctor on the 27th to review the ultrasound, before I move on out to a Torrance doctor.  He said everything looks great from the current point of view (considering we haven’t looked inside yet).  I have an umbilical hernia which is beginning to cause me problems, especially as the belly begins to grow.  His suggestion was taping a poker chip onto the belly button – SUPER!  Not much else I can do until I surgically repair it after baby #4 is out.  I’m even making a turn to feeling better, but the neck thing isn’t helping.

Last night I caught a glimpse into the holiday season.  It made me so happy.  Apparently happy enough that when Brandon came to bed I was giggling.  He thought I was laughing at him, and when he looked over at me I was sleeping, but smiling and giggling.  Too funny.  Anyway, the girls and I were pretty cold, so I lit a fire in the fireplace and we were just loving it.  I had the Sounds of the Season playing on the tv  (already Christmas music), the girls were sitting in front of the fireplace wrapped in blankets and playing hangman on their whiteboard.  I SO wanted a Christmas tree with sparkly lights glowing.  For now our forecast is calling for cooler days and chilly nights, which makes me even happier.  Time to go through the dreaded bins and drawers and closets…

I’m starting to feel the vicadin so I think I’ll go relax now.  I’ve got a busy weekend ahead, which includes a surprise, so I can’t talk about it too much until it’s over.  My sissy is coming down with her husband and new puppy.  Can’t wait to meet little Dexter.  :-)   Little schmoopie poopie puppy.
