Pajama Day

26 Dec

Merry Belated Christmas everyone!!!

Today is our pajama day.  After a couple of days of wrapping, unwrapping, and eating until we’re stuffed but we still eat because our taste buds force us to, us Cash girls are hanging out in our pjs all day.  No plans to leave the house today.  Sarah actually woke up pretty early this morning, but fell back asleep a little after 9am and is still sleeping (it’s currently 11:55am).  This is what she did last year.  She fell asleep face first in the middle of the floor last year.  At least she made it to my bed before passing out this time.

Of course the big question from everyone now is, can you open ______?  We have a nice big pile of unwrapped gifts that the girls are waiting patiently for me to open.  I’m still trying to figure out where all of the new toys will go once they’re open.   Time to start purging.

I really feel like this year I got to enjoy the Christmas season instead of survive it.  Usually I feel sad that Christmas is over before the 25th even gets here, but this year I really feel like I was blessed with the opportunity to sit back and take it all in.  Sure there were those crazy days with a million things to do, but those days are expected.   Now we get to see a million and one commercials for the Rose Parade.

I’m looking forward to my sister and brother-in-law coming to visit for a full week.  We’re also planning to get away for a couple of days to Palm Springs next week before school resumes.  I don’t even want to think of that yet.  Today, I’m just going to enjoy my slippers and pajamas, and try to stay away from the plate of my dad’s fudge.
