Is this thing on?

I’m a slacer.  A slacer who has to start thining of other words that don’t contain the letter ” “, ’cause mine isn’t woring.

Yeah.

But that’s oay.  There are exciting times a comin’.  Starting with a surprise trip to Disneyland tomorrow for the ids.  We haven’t been since January, and when you’ve had passes, and let them expire for that length of time you will understand that we are well overdue.  Especially when there is a 2 1/2 year old in our midst.

Speaing of 2 1/2 year olds…  He’s officially 2 1/2 years old today.  Excuse me while I go wipe the tears from my eyes.

Alright, I’m bac.  I’ve also been neglecting my blog, because I’ve been obsessed with this one for the last two wees.  My bestie and her family were in China, retrieving their newest little girl, sweet Lauren Grace.  The highlight?  Getting to see and tal to them via webcam the very next day after Lauren was first in their arms for good.  It was simply the best.

What’s the next exciting thing a comin’ you might as?  (Did you just giggle?  Don’t laugh at my missing letters.)  In a crazy, weird, still inconceivable way, I’m accompanying three other friends, and we’re going to Ellen’s 12 Days of Giveaways Christmas Show.  The 12th day I might add.  Yeah.  Haven’t felt lie sharing simply because I didn’t want to seem as though I was bragging, but I’m simply beside myself with excitement and cannot eep it in any longer.  Teehee!

So, I now there are some who enjoy pics of the fam as well, so here is an update through pics.  We’ve had Esther’s 9th birthday and Thansgiving.  Enjoy.  Until I get a woring ” “….

Proud

Can a momma be too proud?

Miss Sarah got glasses on Friday.  She’s adjusting so well to them, having to wear them at all times.  I am so proud of this six year old.  She’s grown up right before my eyes in just the last few days.  Sniffle sniffle.

Then there are the older sisters…

They all performed at the school’s talent show last night.  It was held in a “real” theater.  It was an awfully big stage for one person or one voice.  They amaze me sometimes.  My girls are just super great!  Just sayin’.

Bummin’ and Brown Bear

I’m so bummed!  The majority of my pictures captured during this last week of Easter and our spring break have been plagued by an apparent dirty camera lens.  I’m gonna have to do a TON of editing to clean up the 200+ pictures taken.  Ugh!

On another note, my boy loves to read Brown Bear, Brown Bear…  I caught him last night, in his chair (that he fashioned on his own), reading himself.  Mostly the last page.

Listen for words like teacher, fish, frog, doggie, teacher, and bird.  Then he turns the page to the ‘white dog’ and says, Go, Dog, Go.  🙂

I love this kid!  He’s gettin’ too big!

Piano

We have been so blessed to find such a wonderful piano teacher for the girls.  We’ve had family and friends try and teach them, but I think they really needed someone they were unfamiliar with to actually get serious about it.  We love our piano teacher, and after only a short couple of months, they performed in their first piano recital last night.

YIKERS!

The girls are performing in Haven Academy’s production of The Wizard of Oz.  I’ve got munchkins, and flying monkeys, and poppies, oh my.  In the midst of this tornado that lands this weekend, hubby has been studying hard for his comprehensive exams which will put him one step closer to his PHD.  Judah and I have been pretty lonely with everyone gone rehearsing or studying.  It’s been nice in a way, but we still miss everyone too.  And if that isn’t enough, Esther celebrates her birthday on the 24th, so we’re having her little family shin dig Sunday – after the play comes to a close and before we prepare for Thanksgiving.  WHEW!  I’m tired just thinking about it all.

So, if I can get to this sad little blog, I will.  At least to post photos of all of the activity going on.  🙂

Speaking of activity…

this boy has been quite active.  We’re on our third round of antibiotics – a different one finally.  We’re not sure if the original ear infection ever went away, or if this is a new infection all together.  Regardless, doc said to expect a snot fest through February.  SUPER!  Sounds like fun to me.

Surprise!

So last Saturday I surprised the bestie and flew to Oklahoma all by my self (like a big girl), with a layover in Pheonix and all.  Her husband graciously picked me up from the airport while Jenny thought he was checking on a machine at work.  We placed a small box on her porch next to a pillar (that I was hiding behind), and when Mike went inside, he told her that there was a package on the porch asking her to please bring it inside.

The rest is history…
